You just got to love Paladins when they saved your life about the tenth time in today's Karazhan Raid with their Blessing of Protection - while keeping the entire group topped at max. health the whole time.

You have to love a Paladin for having that little extra attack power, that little extra mana, or that little less threat. Especially when Illidan is bearing down on you.

I love Paladins when you can see the warning signs of a wipe, and Mr Righteous steps in, heals you all to full health, makes your attack power even better and you finish with no deaths, AND he has a full mana bar somehow.

Pallies will always hold a special place in my heart, because that is what the guy that introduced me to the game was, he saved my ass several times. I love the buffs they give, and the heals they have. It is cool in an instance when everybody dies, pally pops the bubble, loses aggro and proceeds to res the party, wipe averted. Yeah, I love paladins.

What's not to love about a Paladin? "Best single-target healers in the game" is the oft-heard comment. A paladin as a tank can take a load off your harried and overworked priest by healing HIMSELF (and all nearby melee classes. Seal of Light FTW!)
Hammer of Wrath makes us just like Thor, the Norse God of Thunder. Avenger's Sheild, although it requires a 41 point commitment in the Protection Tree (and an eternal sacrifice of that guarantee of a spot on every raid that the Holy Paladin enjoys), gives us CAPTAIN AMERICA'S FRICKIN' AWESOME THROWN SHEILD!!!111eleven-one! Thor AND Captain America! Paladins are walking back-issues of Marvel Comics' Avengers! Gotta love that.
Demons and the Undead are the Paladin's specialty. When a Paladin wades into battle against the Burning Legion, or the Scourge, a transformation occurs. Placed against the the unliving and the demonic, suddenly, even a slow, plodding prot pally is a DPS GOD. Paladins are the reason the Forsaken had to be changed to "Humanoid".
The Burning Crusade gives every Shaman a new ally in the Paladin. Shaman, go find yourself a Paladin and make him your Best Friend Forever. Regenerate his mana, buff his weapon, and bask in the endless free heals, blessings, and your new-found ability as a ranged DPS class given you from your own personal tank.
A paladin and a warlock together adds up to major pwnage. Ranged DPS, Damage over time and the Warlock's demon minions, topped off by the Paladin's mana-efficient heals, melee staying power, THREE (count them) protective bubbles, and some of the most overlooked threat management in the game. Forget the old "holy trinity" of warrior, mage, priest, bring on the new Paladin/Warlock/Shaman!
Sure, the retribution tree gets no love, but frankly, who needs it? So the paladin is never going to be at the top of the DPS meters. When push comes to shove, and your raid nearly wipes, but the last man standing is your holy or prot paladin, YOU WILL THANK HIM, as he bleeds off all but by bottom 30% of his aggro, the mobs return to their places and the resurrections begin.
So support your paladins. Their plate armor is expensive to repair, and the loot they brought in from Kara probably won't cover it.

When I group with them, I love them because of their blessings. They'll always ask if I want wisdom, might, salv, or kings because im a hunter. And they always keep at high mana. Its annoying.

I am a paladin,
the holy warrior aspect of where I don't die is nice in the add filled shadowmoon valley,
and just to the saddened paladins out there who want to tank, but the people they play with say it's impossible,
last night I got into a SteamVaults run, and when a warrior popped in to queue on the LFG system and got auto added, he found himself in a group allready with a tank, so he left,
and what do you know, the hunter and a lock left MY group to get the WARRIOR to tank, how rude right? I was there for 15 mins before, and all of a sudden I get replaced by a warrior?
well they had it coming,
the LFG system put me in their group,
so I was back
there weren't a multitude of people wanting to go to SV, so I was in,
while the warrior tanked alot of the instance, he had a run for his money with the aggro I stole alot,
now the mobs would have prolly killed me the most,
becuase my gear really sucks bad.
but
when we got to the last boss, and wiped on him, who tanked it?
me! we needed more dps and who other than the prot pally to tank it?
The 2nd attempt was flawless,
we beat it so fast AND I didn't die,
but the loot sucked,
thanks an next time you see a paladin who doesn't want to go Holy,
give him a pat on the back, and say "keep trying"
cause we all know if it weren't for the stigma,
paladins would be tanking big raids and such.

I am in love with a paladin tank.
My boyfriend has been one since we rolled a paladin and a priest together, and I am always amazed at how well he can hold aggro of multiple mobs, even when a pull gets screwed up or a pat aggros mid-fight. I realize this is a sign of any good tank... but how many warriors can say they aoe-grind SH in one hour, NO cc needed?

I've always played a Paladin. For the past two years I've leveled up quiet a few paladins. I'm also not content sitting in the back of the group pressing one of two buttons. I'm a prot pally and always get a lot of slack at the beginning of the instance, but later when the hunter is crying because he can't get a mobs aggro off me to trap him...I just laugh and keep on throwing up holy shield. At the end of the instance I normally get a good pat on the back, and know I've hopefully changed a few people's minds on Paladin Tanks. So, just remember when you see a Pally tank out there let him have his turn and be prepared to be shocked.

Much in the way that I love a cool brew on a hot summer day, a stack of pancakes, or yelling quotes back at the movie while watching "Blazing Saddles", I love having a good paladin in my group.
And I would've made one, too, to keep that Pally Love going... but I had to make up for all the bad Huntard karma that was floating around, so I rolled Hunter instead.

I love being a Holy Warrior who rips through the Scourge and the Burning Legion. I love giving every one 5 minutes of extra help, I love getting off my mount to heal a random rogue or warrior as well as give them just that extra bit of a attack power. I love tanking and only losing agro to a crited pyroblast that hits right after my avengers shield. But I hate seeing a holy pally wearing cloth, and leather. Protection is my specialty and I will always have my mace at the ready to crush a zombie or a demon. With the help of a friendly shaman, priest or druid of course.

My first character was a paladin. Something about the irony of a holy character of the light bashing in heads with a giant hammer appealed to me. Mmm...head bashing.
"And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee"
And just about when all hope is lost..bubble, heal.. ooh yeah that was fun.

Speaking as a long-term two-man instance runner with a pallie, pallies rock.
But the thing I like about 'em? Bubble in PvP - when you're on the other side.
"Aargh, aargh, kill it, kill it, hamstring, Revenge, hamstring, aargh, execute -
Oh, he's bubbled."
"Aaaahhh..." *Sits back, relaxes and sips tea for ten (or however long) seconds*
"Aaaaanddd...
Aargh, aargh, hamstring, Shield Bash, hamstring..."
In the words of the Kit-kat advert, "Have a break. Have a duel with a pallie."

The other day, I was tanking Shadow Labyrinth with a party that included a Paladin. The DPS squad were all killed by Blackheart the Inciter.
It was just the two of us versus him. He would charm us, and we would stand there beating ineffectually on each other, both of us wearing plate, neither of us with DPS gear on. We were both doing damage in the low hundreds, and that wasn't going to kill either of us. Then the MC would wear off and we'd go back to very slowly beating down the boss.
This probably went on for fifteen minutes. He was able to heal me enough to survive, and never ran out of mana. The DPS folks would return, and some died several times before we finally took him down. But mostly, it was the two of us, we just kept hammering on him until finally we killed him.

Yes, I love my Paladin arena buddy who, through miraculous feats, still manages to pump out Flashes of Light and Blessings of Freedom when I need them most. And believe me, a Warrior needs them a lot! And I know there are so many great pallies out there, healing, buffing, protecting - doing what holy warriors of the Light ought to do best. Cheers to the all of the healers in plate out there!

Here's some Pally lovin: Holy Pallies, I love it when you save my butt when I'm doing nothing except chain casting greater heals on a tank. Prot Pallies, I love your Captain America shield. I love how you can hold aggro on so many mobs, allowing everyone to just open up.
But there's a special place in my heart for the most-maligned tree out there: the Retribution Paladins. I love that you give me an additional 12% to damage (Holy/Disc priest FTW!) I love that you can give me another 3% chance to crit - and I nearly fall out of my chair laughing when you say 'hello' with that big slow two handed weapon for over 2k, and then have a Seal of Command proc and I can't even get a Smite off because you just three shot the mob. In about 4 seconds. People make fun of you, call you names, but know that there's a few people out there that love you, Crusader Strike and all.

I have a lowbie Paladin which I am enjoying very much. I love the Seals & Judgements mechanic--dropping that big golden anvil on my target of choice never gets old. And tossing Blessings on everyone I come across for virtually no mana is great. Holy Warriors FTW!

I have to say...i rolled a horde pally about a month ago had him hit 70....was prot from 10-70 LOVE IT..
and thanks to determination (and a little guildy love) i have now become the offtank for a very succesful raiding guild...everyone loves the buffs i bring, the fact that i can save a healer or heal myself if it gets too bad,and of course,i get alot of love from the mages (who are still amazed that, try as they might, they cant pull aggro on AOE pulls when im tanking). So for all you Nay Sayers out there that are all just about O paladins are only good for healing,i just have this to say...lets see who can tank 8 guys seccesfully with no specified targets, your biggest warrior,i dont think so :)

I love to be grouped with a good Pally. They save you from the most unlikely situations.
My brother has a holy Pally and even at the low level he is, seeing him being constantly the MVP in a group is really nice. Keeping a mob on him while healing somebody else or bubbling a priest that happens to be the main healer, blessing everyone, giving them nice auras and being a team player overall.
Maybe that isn't as cool a popping heads with a huge two handed mace, but man, it's a valuable role.

I love being able to pull about 10 mobs while soloing on my tankadin alt and kill them all without even having to use my weapon.
I love blessing of salvation on my 70 mage, saves me from a horrible death almost every time : )
And finally, I love their ability to main heal a 70 instance and only have to drink after bosses due to insane mana regen : D
