So many times, I am silently cruising through a forest, down the beach, or up the hills and I hear that tell-tale gurgle. The sound makes my skin crawl, no doubt about it, a Murloc has found me. Oh how I loathe them, they creep me out. I'm not really sure what it is about them, I just hate to be attacked by this man-fish-frog-lizard thing that owned me so many times as a youngling in Elwynn all those levels ago.Perhaps it is my bad experience as a lowbie that leaves me with a profound dislike for the little buggers, but it doesn't matter, I hate them all the same. No offense to Blizzard, the creature model is fantastic in all the colors of the rainbow, but everyone has an arch-nemesis, mine is definitely the Murloc. As I level I grow more confident in my ability to dispatch them with ease, but the hate doesn't seem to dissipate. Perhaps I have journeyed to the dark side?
A guildie of mine says that Murlocs are simply misunderstood, and that no one takes the time to see them for the peaceful hut-dwelling beach creatures they are. Come to think of it I never really thought to have a tea party with them, I've heard they like crumpets. I guess if I wasn't always raiding their camps for some type of quest, they wouldn't get so angry at me for stealing random objects from them. Maybe I should be more sympathetic to the plight of today's not-quite-so-endangered species like the Murloc. I do love tagging them on Azuremyst Isle. I also do enjoy a good bit of Murloc-tipping late at night occasion.
Is it just me, or do you also have a mob you just love to hate, and if so, why? Is Hogger on your list too? Maybe there should be a guild, "murloc nemesis." I would join faster than you could say grrrrrllgrgrlgrlglr!

Any Murloc, ugh, just hate those f'ers.
Son of Arugal, it's like playing hide and seek with death. And good luck if he gives you his 'gift'
And the alliance outriders in the southern barrens.
* On a side note, nothing was better than eventually getting high enough in level to go back and take them down.
If only I could do that to Fel Revers.

Murlocs are high up there, but at least they have humour value, unlike Fleshbeasts, which I despise.

One of my first toons was a tauren, and I hate wolves. My main is a hunter and I've never had a wolf pet for more than a half hour. I somehow always picture those mean wolves getting two or three chomps on my druid before I could whack them once.

I remember when I first got my Felguard. I went back to Eastvale Logging Camp, put him on aggrssive, and walked out to the Murloc camp. That was so very very satisfying.

Aw, c'mon I LOVE Murlocs! They're hilarious, the funniest mob out there. They add huge comedic appeal to the game.
That being said, I HATE Gnolls. Especially the gnolls on Fenris Isle after I wiped on those for days at a time on my first toon. And caster gnolls UGH! I can't stand them. I get to the Barrens and they're everywhere! RFK, RFD...! UGH!

Vultures, especially the ones in the Badlands and Westfall. I can't explain it, but it always, always seems like those damn birds will eventually aggro, and always when I'm in the middle of fighting a mob. Sometimes they surprise me because they're 40 feet away and suddenly, they're right there on top of me.
Sometimes though, I'll watch them and even kite the mob I'm fighting out of the way, and inevitably, they will alter their flight path to fly to wherever I am.

I really hate spiders. They always seem to have a huge aggro range, they poison (minor inconvenience to a druid), you can't skin 'em, and they drop 10 different kinds of spider body part, each worth less than a silver.
But even more so, I do hate those murlocs.

hyennas. I came to despise those stinky, giggling furmuckers after getting them on me in the Barrens. Not to mention the wandering packs that roam just waiting for a lowbie to come strolling by for a snack.

I hate the "invisible" mobs. You know, the ones that aren't there but are killing you anyway and no matter how fast/far/what direction you run they still keep on hitting you. And you can't target or damage them.
Blizz really needs to fix that. No mobs are fun but at least you have a chance to survive if you can see and target them.

I hate Slime/Ooze. I think they are very annoying and just a boring mob to fight against. At least the murloc's give some fun to killing them. Slime/ooze just do nothing for me. Poorly designed monster.
I must say, I hate gnolls as well. Don't mind the melee combatted ones but gnoll casters get on my wick.

Did you say "invisible" mobs? How about the level 49-51 neutral invisible ghosts in Raven Hill, that will destroy a typical level 18-30 Duskwood leveler, while never knowing what hit them? The only relief is that they're neutral, so just don't do an AOE in any of the houses in Raven Hill.

Murlocs and vultures get my vote as well. Vultures seem to fly all the way across the map to attack- no matter what the level gap is. The alarm-o-bots in Gnomeragin http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=7897 in are irritating, but then again there's not much in Gnomer that isn't.

Sons of Arugal are the bane of my existence. Did you know that their aggro radius was so large in early beta that they'd aggro you outside graphics clipping range? i.e. if you saw one, you'd already aggroed him. Grrr....
A close second are the Devilsaurs. I have yet to understand how something so large is so freakin' stealthy.

Murlocs are hugely up there on my list, b/c of the PIA huge aggro they have; they slaughtered my hunter in Redridge more times I can count. Agree on the spiders; annoying, and a zillion little crappy parts. Any humanoids, also very annoying, they have large aggro ranges and clump up too much for my hunter to take them on easily. And you can't skin them, i mean wtf?

If Kodo's shake the ground when they're near, Devilsaurs should do the same.

I will still cruise thru there to kill the latter at 66.
