It's Midsummer Fire Festival time, and once again I find myself having a great time doing silly little quests. I even snuck into Darnassus, Ironforge and Stormwind so my paladin could get herself a fire festival crown to go with her tuxedo suit and Dreamseeker Dandelion of Stamina. A lot of people seem to think the in-game holidays are wastes of developer time, but I really enjoy the little touches that make Azeroth a fun place to be.
While the Fire Festival has neat tcotchkes, and Orphan's Week lets you drag a child into raids, my all-time favorite holiday has to be Hallow's End. Egging Southshore and crashing Undercity is fun, sure, but the best part is having fun with the wands and treats in parties. There's nothing like hearing the anguished scream of a caster turned into a bat, or a first kill screenshot where half the raid is a leper gnome. I'm probably the most unimpressed by Noblegarden -- I can never find those eggs -- and the Valentine's Day events, which require way too much work. I don't put that much effort into my relationships in real life.
What's your favorite and least favorite holiday?

Hallow's End and Winter Veil by far. Noblegarden is just pathetic.

Hallows End is my favourite by far. I love the costumes!
Valentine's day is my least. I never do any of the quests or the 'tokens' palaver.

Hallow's End and Children's Week, definitely.
V-Day... meh. Some of the others are a little forgettable ~ enough that I can't remember them. ;)

Favorite Holiday:
Children's Week! I have a huge collection of non-combatant pets and CW just gives me a reason to go get more.
Least Favorite:
The Valentine's Day stuff really bores me, plus I'm getting really tired of seeing all the V-day decorations STILL up in Stormwind Keep. Maybe it's just a Staghelm thing...maybe we're the server equivalent of "guy who puts his Christmas lights up in October and doesn't take them down 'til mid-August".

Noblegarden really needs a buff. At least make the rewards out of the eggs scale like the Hallows End candy does.
Hallows End is the best. I had a group thinking that warlocks could turn people into leper gnomes and ghosts because I still had wands on me from the holiday months before.

I really liked chinese new year. It also helped me level my new main since it was a druid and could cast teleport:moonglade and then use the moonbeams to go to any capital city, cut down on a lot of travel time!
