We've had people try to get exalted with every faction. We've had people try to get every pet in the game. We've even had people who want to five-box every class to 70. But today, I think we may have met the person who has put the most time and effort into non-endgame WOW -- Dirtybishop.
Dirtybishop is a level 19 human twink on the Blackrock realm. At first glance, his profile looks pretty normal. Engineering goggles, WSG rep rewards, Meadow Rings of Eluding, ridiculously high-end leg armor and enchants. It's well-known that low-level rogues can get amazingly high dodge chance by stacking agility, so he's got a lot of agi enchants. But ... wait, what's that in the trinket slot? Brooch of the Immortal King? Skyguard Silver Cross?
Yes, this 19 twink is exalted with Sha'tari Skyguard. I don't know how he did it, although the prevailing guess is that he was summoned to Skettis and stood out of range of the experience and in range of the reputation gains. One of his guildmates said it took their mains four and a half weeks to farm Bishop the trinkte. I have no comprehension of the amount of effort this person has put in just to do WSG over and over and over again -- nevertheless, you sort of have to admire that single-mindedness. Plus, if he ever decides to level, he'll have a nice flying mount waiting for him.

I don't understand what this means. Could you clarify a bit?

If you're far enough away from an enemy when it dies, you won't get experience for the kill- no matter if you're in the party or not.
Same goes for reputation. In order for him not to level above 19- he theoretically would have had to have been out of the experience range, but in range enough for the experience. :)

The problem would be avoiding getting XP for the kills, while still getting the reputation reward for them. If he gets XP (and my goodness, that would be a lot of XP for a lvl 19), then he would level, and no longer be twinked for the 10-19 bracket. So there would have to be some kind of sweet spot where he could stand, far enough away not to get XP, but close enough for the rep.
I can't even be bothered to do the daily quests on my main - feels too much like a chore. ("To do today: take out the trash, go grocery shopping, play Simon Says....") I can't imagine going through all of this for a twink. o.0

There is a certain range you have to be inside of in order to gain experience from a kill. There is also a certain range you have to be in range of in order to get faction points from a kill if the mob you are killing is one that gives those points. (Example: in Felwood, you can get reputation with Timbermaw Hold by killing Deadwood mobs.) However, these ranges don't match up. The reputation range is just a bit larger than the experience range, which means that you can stand just outside the range of xp and still get rep points.

Ugh, I meant reputation on the last one- not experience.
Words = confusion sometimes.

If I'm not mistaken, you can get reputation even while dead.

You can also form up a raid group to farm the rep, there is no exp but you do get rewards.

If you're grouped with 70s, the experience is much reduced. I summoned a friend's level 1 rogue to Shattrath, and killed a spider outside. He received 1 XP.

^ Yes, I do not see why people think that dragging a low level alt to a place in Outland will net them tons of XP. Powerlevel in Azeroth, not in Outland!

Blizzard needs to keep a better watch on PVP abuses. Stuff like this damages the fair play confidence of people who _are_ fairly competing in the battlegrounds, and weakens the incentive to play.
This one guy is having fun, sure, but if he pisses off 10 people with ridiculous advantages in PVP, that's 1 happy paying customer and 10 pissed off paying customers.
Whose side should Blizzard be on?

Level to which bracket? There's twinks in 19. 29, 39 (even more so in this bracket post-BC), 49 and even 59. Then 70 becomes endgame gear vs. quest greens.
The only one of those that might have the least amount of twinks is 49, since no one makes a character solely to have it be a 49 twink. Regardless, no matter which bracket you're in, there's rogues with glow sticks and priests with goggles on.
There is no non-twink pvp, it's just "there's less twinks on now than last night" pvp.

Just go into the battleground, do your best, get better, remember that WOW is a nearly utopian society in which anyone can farm and gather and buy some enchants to catch up.
Also, don't ever forget, you will still get points if you get pwned.
If you are undergeared, defend a point and call out incomings. Put some +stam on your crappy greens and try to survive until help arrives.
If you can't even do that much without getting pissed at the twinks who seem to work their asses off to get more numbers on their gear than you have, stay out of the battlegrounds and do quests or something.
If everything was "fair" it would be f-ing boring. There would be no reason to get better at anything, and no reason to play.

@11--Who do you think PUT level 19 BOE blues in the game if not Blizzard? Satan? All the little workarounds out there seem to be made so there can be a fun challenging game to be made out of getting maximum performance out of a low level character.

This guy needs to be banned from the game. That's clearly cheating. Though I consider all twinking cheating, this is on a whole new level of evil.

DirtyBishop Rules! come join my clan on Hyjal or tell me what group to join for a pre made. You rock and I'll most certainly do the 5-1 horde ratio to keep them off you when you pick up the flag. =)

I see this guy as someone who is more eager to win than most and is ready to commit himself to it. It's not unfair to put work into something and getting rewarded for it. But it's unfair to expect the same reward without the same commitment.
Or are you saying Nihilum's firsts are unfair too?

How is this cheating or unfair?
It's not like this guy had any advantage in obtaining the said items. They are there for anyone to get. Sure, it's a major pain to farm the rep to get them, but still, anyone can get them. Don't complain about something just because you don't want to put in the time needed to obtain it.
