Whether we are Horde or
Excellent idea. In the spirit of togetherness we are proud to announce the WoW Insider guild, It came from the Blog. Formed on the Horde side of the Zangarmarsh server, it's a place for us all to unite and put the Massively Multiplayer back into MMORPG. We want a chance to get to know our readers beyond just the comments and the odd email suggestion.
Now, we all have home servers with mains and alts that need love and attention. This guild is uber casual, so don't feel any pressure to level another alt to 70 in three weeks in time for the Karazhan runs. We are just coming together for a social hour, as it were, to chat, run some quests, and enjoy each other's company. Not sure what to expect? See our official guild rules for more information.
If you are interested in joining us, our first group night will be tonight at 7 PM EST. Roll a hordie and meet us on Zangarmarsh. Whisper anyone in the guild and you'll get yourself an invite. Come play with WoW Insider!

O! This is SO not fair! I wanna play! LOL, nice choice too with the Horde! I know "Can't we all get a long?" Well leave me a spot open so once I get back from Iraq I can join! This really sounds like a great idea, maybe I can get my wife to join before I get home so you guys could help her "learn" how to play! haha Like I said save me a spot!

I was really excited to see this, and I planned on playing... but, PvE servers kinda suck. :/

Sorry, EU players, we don't currently have any writers in Europe, so we're lacking in technical access, not love for you guys. If you've got ideas on how we can get things together, I'm willing to go for it, but for now, this is what we're doing.
I know PvE might not be ideal for some people, solidsnake, but I plan to take to the battlegrounds pretty often on these nights-- if you want to fight us, feel free to roll Alliance and we can face off.
It should be fun. See you all there tonight.

lol Raynia, yeah I thought of that. Pick a random pvE server in the EU realm list, meet up with a bunch of people I don't really know, but we all share the love for WoW, and we (mostly) read this blog. Great! Then I realised I am already in a guild.

@7, yeah you need EU / Asian players to add some flavour to Insider (don't mean that badly, just saying - it's a worldwide game). I'll do it :O

If it means finding a niche subject to write about for the WoW Insider, then I'm willing to run a Euro branch of the Insider guild.

PvE server = lame. No way I'm having a gnome 10 levels below me fart on me, slap me and then walk away giggling and unharmed.
It ain't Warcraft without the war.

@ Mike,
Well you know, you could maybe open a vacancy for a European correspondent.
Last time I checked, Engadget has a couple and I'm pretty sure Joystiq and some of the Fanboy blogs do as well. So I see no reason why when you get (pay?) Big Red Kitty to write for you, you can't get a European to write as well.
Cultural diversity FTW.

Hey Amanda, I also promise never to use the Term "Wife Aggro" once in the guild also! LOL well not intentionally, it might slip once in a while! J/K!

The first night started off very well, I got to meet players from many different realms. This was an excellent idea. Still waiting for an Alliance equivalent, I'd jump over in a heartbeat :)
