"Treacherous" on the official forums pointed out a new CM opening on the Blizzard site, then asked if Tseric's recent absence was somehow related. The very next response was Eyonix with the following statement:Tseric is now pursuing other opportunities and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.
While I know Tseric's opinion wasn't always popular, I did think that he was an excellent CM for a very long time. He brought some of the better zings to the forums, and until the last bit, was generally a pretty nice guy from what I saw of him. Many people are still hotly divided on whether or not it was his right to reply like he did to that one post... Was he right or wrong to reply in that gruff of a manner? And just how far is too far when you're dealing with customers?
Obviously we don't know if he walked out on the job after dealing with the forums for 2+ years, or if he was let go due to that bit of forum head-explody that happened. (And Blizzard wouldn't dare tell anyone because that's a lawsuit in the making.) But in either case, I personally would like to wish Tseric the very best for his future, and I hope we'll hear from him somewhere down the road.
/salute Tseric

It's upsetting that Tseric's departure indicates Blizzard's opinion of the forums differs from that encompassed in his last great post. The official forums are garbage, and I feel genuinely sorry for anyone forced to clean them up.

I gotta agree with Tseric.
"Until you see some bright-eyed player coming onto the forums wanting to know what they should spec as this class, and see them shat on and driven away by petty and selfish people who are simply leveraging for game buffs, you will not understand. "

I went on asking a silly Warlock question when I was young and noobish (not actually young, but still new to the game :D ) and got impossibly shot down because I was using my Voidwalker, rather than Succubus/Imp Drain Tanking.
"omgkn00b diaf kthxbai".
For all its worth, I Drain Tank NOW, but good lord, they are an angry bunch at the official forums.
Sorry Tseric. You were a good CM, from what I saw of you (although I didn't spend much time there).

Tseric was pretty cool, up until the last month or so.
A month does seem sort of telling doesnt it? I imagine he gave his notice, and at that point, was not interested in dealing with peoples bulls**t any more.

No doubt he got fired, he was a horrible CM who honestly did nothing but troll and create unrest with stupid statements like "with 18% to crit you can spam LBs for 5mns".
This has made me so happy, it means blizzard might actually care about its customers.

I was never much of a forum worm myself, but I will say one thing..that guy was cool. Should he ever read this post (which I doubt he will), I wish him the best of luck wherever he works next.
If it was for that ONE explosion, then Blizz is full of noobs in the Human Resources centre...
Good luck Tseric, and check in every once in a while with us !!

Blizzard drops the ball on Tseric: http://www.etherjammer.com/blog/?p=195
Blizzard had a real chance to build community here. They could very easily have said "you know, Tseric is right. The forums suck. Let's crack down on the trolls, the insults, and the general incivility and make these forums productive." Sure, they would have pissed off a bunch of people by doing it - but the people who would have been pissed off are the people causing the problems - the people Blizzard doesn’t want on their forums anyway. They wouldn’t have been losing anyone they wanted to keep around by changing their stance on the forums. And by cracking down and making the forums a useful tool, they would have established a positive reputation among their actual fans.

I guess in the end, it's best to just post generic, pre-written stuff rather than your own opinion. "We'll look into it." "Thanks for your feedback." "Maybe." and so on..

yetanoternoob: "GET 'EM OFF ME!!!"
yetanoternoob takes 23235 claw/rend damage.
yetantoernoob dies. spits out hairball.

I used to enjoy Tseric's presence on the forums, but he did indeed lose it. He became more interested in slagging idiots then in posting for the benefit of the greater community. I feel sympathy for the great deal of BS he was forced to deal with, but it was clear that he was suffering from a pretty severe case of burn out. I'm sure a lot of us who have had customer service jobs can relate--sometimes you just need to go.

Glad this d-bag is gone. Now they just need to get rid of eyonix and hire some competent people like they have over on the EU forums and we'd be all set.
