Blizzard's March of Games continues with Diablo II. Not only is D2 a spiritual predecessor to WoW, it's also probably my favorite Blizz game of all time. Many's the hour I spent on my Amazon wielding Titan's Revenge, laying waste to...well, actually, I can't remember what all I laid waste to, but it sure was fun. The game is also responsible for adding "wug?" to my vocabulary, which I'm not sure goes entirely to its credit. As far as I'm aware, D2 was basically the origin of WoW's talent system; although they were called "Skills," the basic idea was the same -- each class even had three trees of them. Randomized items of differing quality levels, and item sets, were also featured in D2, and the recent WoW addition of socketed items was a D2 favorite as well.
While I'd be overjoyed with a Diablo III, I go along with others in feeling unclear that such a game could be sufficiently distinguished from WoW. Still, it was nice to "stay awhile" and reminisce about an incredible game.

@#1 Of course, Blizzard would destroy their whole secret by creating an URL like that, we've been through this already.
D2 was my favorite PC game of all time, played way too much, at some point I was leveling a char to lvl 70+ everyday 2 days or so. Amazon + ballista + guided arrow = win

Everyone needs to just calm down and wait till the 19th... Unless someone at Blizz leaks it, nobody will know for sure until then. Period. Also, the pictures mean nothing more than a chronological history. Not everything is something for you to super sleuth.

I view Hellgate: London as what would have been Diablo 3. Not that they couldn't announce D3, but if it isn't, Hellgate will satisfy that need, for me anyway.

How about a rumor??
Blizzard is creating an expansion for WoW that will include the city of Tristran and all of the other well know locales from D2! How cool would it be to wander through the Northern Highlands or even Tristran itself once again as someone from the distant land of Azeroth.

problem with hellgate:london is the obviouse switch in lore and the free vs subscription play and that will make it if you want to realy play the game you gotta pay because free play players will be treated like red headed step children

I know this is OT but @4:
Where did you get that? That's not even close to right. If your not including bundle games (Which I'm assuming you're not) there are still lots more higher selling games. The original Pokemon (like it or not) comes to mind.
