Druid. My main. Not been playing long, but I rolled a little mage, but I died too much. I switched to my Druid and haven't looked back. The druid, like me, does not neatly fit into any category. They are able to feel various niches depending on group needs, just like me! While they are expert at none of their roles, be it tank, DPS, or healer, they do quite well in a pinch, also like me.

However, I may roll a priest too, as I get that warm gushy feeling inside too watching that green flash as my druid saves a life or two.

But I also like the fact that when I get aggro for healing, I can go into bear and the mobs get more than they bargained for...a roaring beast and not a squishy priest. HAHAHA!

Versatility. THat's the druid. I've yet to meet a problem I couldn't solve with a quick gear change, courtesy of Outfitter, and a change in tactics.

Need to pick off that mob loaded w/ l00t from a distance? Caster. Need to take a beating? Bear. Wanna do some quick grinding? Cat. Guildmate in trouble from the incessant beatings of multiple baddies? Regrowth! Gotta get to that annoyingly distant island in the middle of that annoyingly large lake? Aquatic form!

Yep. Druid FTW.

Shaman from the start. I picked my class because i thought it would be easy to level how wrong i was.
I like my class because it really does suit the person i am and is fun to solo with but also good in groups really a pwnage jack of all trades ^^

Warrior for sure! In real life you know I love ya when I punch ya. I love metal music and (fake)violence humors me. Warior fits me the best by far. I love my warriors spikes and such on her gear. Makes her look badass.

I also have a warlock (super demons hurray!) and a druid that fit my personality too. Im a bit of a nature girl so that fits the druid and the uber demonicness of a warlock is awesome. But they are squishy and my warrior is not which = a win.

All that "test" gives is the priest class, just different races.

I'm a Druid these days, I've been everything and can't settle, so I'll just BE everything. Such is the Druid class.

I actually got it right on the first try. I love to help people out, but I'm also fairly independent. I like to dish out the damage and I like a lot of variety.

Naturally I went shaman.

I played most MMORPGs and RPGs from UO through Shadowbane and DAoC as a Priest in denial.

I typically chose Mage classes but I very rarely played them like mages. My Mage in UO seemed to only cast Great Heal on my friends, my Wizard in Shadowbane seemed to spend all his time healing his awesome pet and my caster in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles ran round with the cure stone as his main spell.

When WoW launched/beta'd, my friends and I started a guild that was all-dwarf. The Dwarf Mage had been removed in an earlier beta publish (boo!) so I chose priest since I prefer casters.

It was after a few days of play, when I was commenting how all my friends always chose the same classes in MMORPGs that someone unwittingly said "yeah John's always a healer" and I realized that through every game, I more or less was.

Heck even when I started playing Magic the Gathering circa Revised I was playing mono white decks (in my defense, in those days it was either Power 9, winter orb/stasis control or a mono deck).

So I finally realized it whilst playing my priest. I haven't played another class as my main since. Healers ftw.

I used to be a priest man. The comfort of watching the green bars move around and me saving a life was my refuge. I'm a damn good one- mind you.

Of course, there's the occasional ass that has to blame the priest when the (for example) rogue pulls aggro and dies.

Otherwise I've loved my priest. Until blizzard nerfed me. In retaliation I decided to roll a new class- I rolled a warlock, and I love him. I hate being a DPS class (i.e. 3rd string choice for groups- whereas a healer or tank can pull random people from thin air, and have a group), but otherwise I love it. The soloability of my class is incredible, not to mention the survivability. I'd never go back, if it weren't for the draw of the priesthood.

I agree on it fitting the personality. I to play a priest. My poor troll priest was the first character I rolled and hit 60 with, and still the one I've enjoyed the most after playing every other class. I always tend to play a support class in every MMO game I play. I like being the guy keeping everyone alive. Sometimes it is a thankless job, but its rewarding in the end.

It told me Undead Priest too. My main's a 70 Warrior, but I'm enjoying leveling my Draenei Priest (43 right now) and I'm looking forward to respeccing Disc/Holy at 70. I think it will be interesting to play a healer, and it will probably make me a better tank.

Right off, I played a Mage up to about lvl 16 and then started up a lock. She has been my main since and has been lvl 70 for about 2 months, now. My second favorite is my 48 hunter. I like to solo, but not alone. Sometime in the locks 40s, I experimented with other classes and have a mid lvl 40 Druid (intresting to play now and then), Priest (Shadow, never did any grouping) and a Mage (still can't get into her, though). I left a Pallly at lvl 27, a lvl 12 Rogue is my banker along with a lvl 6 Warrior. These are all Alliance.

When TBC came out, I wanted to avoid Outland for a while and started up a set of Horde on a brand new server to see how the other side lives. A lock, Hunter, Shaman and Priest who are all in their mid twenties now. I still like the lock best and the Hunter second. I have to push myself to lvl the Shaman.

Intrestingly, the Horde Priest has been getting lots of instance run invites and tried a couple. One was satisfying keeping the group going. One was a nightmare in WC with a Mage doing the pulling, a Shaman who didn't drop any totems, a Warrior and a Druid. Keeping the Mage alive was a real chore and it is hard to heal others while keeping youself alive. It is nice to be wanted for something other than soul stones so I plan to play the Priest a bit more often to see if I like healing or not. The lack of appreciation may be a problem.

We wrote an article regarding the same topic. you brought up some very interesting points and we posted an alternative to finding your character, we believe that one molds his/her character to his personality. It's still relative to the person though, but nice work on this one.

@ Savok and Andrew: not true. I got a human paladin the second time which is even less true than the human priest.

My personality may be more about instinctively helping friends, or even neutral strangers in a tight spot, but human priests and paladins? I /role play/ an undead warlock and relish the quests about promoting discord and selling out the needy. Role playing myself would be more dull than I could possibly express. If I wanted self-insertion, I'd read Harry Potter fan fiction.

Paladin- I started about 1 1/2 years ago because my brother and his GF where playing. Not understanding any of the classes I asked for his suggestions. Telling him what I wanted in my character. He suggested the Paladin, his example was, "Well its like part Jedi and part knight in shining armor". I thought that was perfect. Now as an advent player I really like the whole story behind the paladin a lot.

I haven't found exactly what class embodies me..I'm currently enjoying my pally, so that might be the one...but who knows? I'll have to try every race x class x build combo until I find what will make WoW most enjoyable.
