Doesn't he have like four adds at the beginning of the fight? Since most of these weapons have specific debuffs, I imagine it might take some time to figure out what order in which to take them down and which weapon should be used on which add. Could be wrong, of course. Looks like an interesting encounter - can't wait to see some videos.

One thing stops me from getting excited about new legendaries: the fact that they're Tempest Keep only. I guess my reaction is just a big old: what is the POINT? Why not make an encounter balanced around the gear we get to keep? How do they really make things more interesting? Only a few of them even have an on use ability, so the others don't even give you tactical choices.

Clue me in on what I'm missing, here, someone.

The alliance is slow because they only really work well in large numbers, like 40. Being forced down into small numbers like 10 or 25 requires more strategy and skill, and a lot of the alliance are kids or people with little or no patients, although there are some very smart people, and I tip my hat to that group.

The reason they are usable in that instance only is becuase of ARena, they are trying to keep PvP balanced, and if the best pvp weapons in teh game are from PVE, something is wrong.

Hellbena your argument dousnt realy make sense to me. Death and taxes an alliance guild. Dont have any kids in it and there slower then Nihilum. Nihilum is just a better guild right now. And you cant gernealize a group of people based on 1 choice they make. It is a just bad science.

I like the idea of adding "Event Only" weapons into a battle. It lends much more to the idea that it is the skill of the participants that leads to victory, not how much time they have to farm flasks, elixers and gear.

I'd like Blizzard to extend this concept into what could be called "Dry Runs" of instances. Upon entering a zone, you would receive a certain level of gear and then could keep it until you zoned out. The drawback being that you couldn't get loot from anything you killed. It would give people a chance to experience some of the content without having to farm previous epic raids for months on end to gear up an entire team.

Wow #4 way to regurgitate every piece of horde fanboyism about alliance raiding. If you look around most realm forums you'll see that horde and alliance are pretty much even in terms of progression. The top world guilds just happen to be horde.

#11 that'd be a pretty cool idea. Like an instance where you would start stripped of your gear and picked up pieces as you went along.

Not all the kids play horde, trust me. I run into all kinds of kid n00bs bossing me around everything in Alliancedom, and it is annoying.

It would be wicked awesome if blizz had an instance where the given weapons you were "supposed" to use to down the boss actually hurt you helped the boss take you, so you'd have to use your own gear to down him. That kind of switcheroo would actually be interesting, instead of the same old thing in instances. Or some type of inner-dungeon raid to get your own gear back after having it confiscated by guards, before you could actually down the boss, talk about challenging and fun.

Skye: You're right, the kids that choose Alliance are more likely to pick humans and elves. But the kids are more likely to pick horde then more mature players.

I'm stating the facts, I make my own opinion of it all, but I didn't make it public here. Just the facts: The kids go Horde.

I think everyone is blowing the Horde vs Alliance thing out of proportion. As of me writing this, 6 of the top 10 are horde, but also 6 of the top 10 are EU guilds. I think some guilds are more devoted than others to getting end game gear. It really has nothing to do with the number of "noobs" playing on either side. I'm a noob, but I'm 26, and I have an alliance and a horde character. I say that we should focus more on the "cool" aspect of the guilds see things for the first time rather than bickering amongst one another about who has more kids playing.

I think the "instance" only items are a good idea, they would go along way in helping the more casual player see at least some of the end game content. I think blizzard should put those type of items there for raiding parties to use, then make heroic versions of the raid where they aren't available and the drops are better.

Guys, you can't just apply general demographics of the servers to the top-tiers of raiding guilds.

Even if 99% of the horde population are kids, the top 0.01% of guilds are going to consist of the best of the best, kids or not. I'm not saying 12 year olds suck at raiding, but if that 12 year old applying for your guild is a bit whiny and doesn't work well with others, he isn't getting into the likes of Nihilium and DnT. Just as likely, if that 24 year old player seems like an arrogant asshole to the rest of your guild, he's not getting in.

For these guilds, it's the matter of skill. Just because 99% of the WoW population sucks, it's because the remaining 1% of guilds have already taken the best.

all i say is the determination of Nihilum is incredible. These main bosses there fighting isnt over in a 5 min fight. Your talking well equipped 25 people...with t5. It just shows you that it will be months and months before Illidan is downed...if ever.
