You know what forum poster Timat is talking about. Those quests that you died a half dozen times attempting to complete. The quests that took hours of travel or multiple dungeon runs to complete. The quest that you completed after it went grey in your quest log simply because you refused to let the quest beat you. Posters in the thread already have some suggestions: the druid sea form quest, the Onyxia key chain (both horde and alliance versions are a nuisance), and, of course, "Vast Ocean, Deep Sea."

I forget what the quest was called but its a quest given by the bartender in lakeshire, called "dry spell" or something. Where they've ran out of booze and you have to go from town to town getting ingredients or something
This quest consists of 100% zone hopping, perhaps a "flight path check" if you will. No killing just lots of flying and running for mediocre exp and a vendor trash quest reward.

The Fumper quest line in Terrokar - I don't know if that last encounter is bugged, or just friggin impossible. But I've had 5 lvl 70's get pwned by the worm spitting poison as it never surfaces to be attacked. It's still in my quest log - but I'm gonna lose friends if I ask them to try it again.

Jailbreak.....arrrgh
The Worm quest #4 brings up -- took me more then 50 kills to get the thing.
Jailbreak....
The bugged qust in Shadowmoon where you kill the waves of spawns. Tried with 5, tried with 7, tried with 10 -- bugged, just keeps spawning more and more.
Did I mention Jailbreak....

Hunter quest at level 50, second part of the questchain for Sunken Temple class-rewards quest I think.
Killing Wave Treshers in Azshara, and obtaining 4 scales or something. Thousands of murlocs, crabs and whatnot, but the Treshers only spawned like once every 10 minutes... That combined with the lowest possible drop-rate made those 2-3 hours a living nightmare for me! :'(
Seriously thought about quitting the whole thing back then, but I got it done eventually!

The stupid "Princess" quests in Arathi. Especially the last one, where you summon and kill her.

The warlock epic mount quest. Totally not worth it, especially with the price drop in riding skill now.

I hear a lot of people say bad things about BM, but really it comes down to the group you're in. Bad communication, bad group, and you're going to wipe a lot. Good group (such as a feral druid tanking, priest healing, and a mage to spell steal and handle the adds) and you can clear it in under a half hour, easily. I think the fact that everyone has to be awake and alert practically the whole time (no AFKing allowed, for example) messes a lot of groups up.

I still have nightmares of getting my onyxia key (horde side). 5 man LBRS was rough even in a group of mainly 60s in T1 armor, and these were in the days before the dungeon revisions. My first PUG through there took nearly 3 hours and didn't get much past the first boss. Getting the whole LBRS done with my group of guildies still took nearly 4 hours to complete.
And then you had to find Rexxar. Multiple times.
All-in-all, the hair pulling moments are fewer in WoW today. The only quest I really don't like doing is anything regarding Shattered Halls. The dungeon is so long that even a "Good" run can take several hours. A "bad" run is a nightmare...

I know I'll do it, but I dread doing the Nagrand Nesingwary hunting quests for the fourth time. Kill 124 Mobs? Whoopee!

Fumpers is my all time favorite quest ever. I duo'd it with a 65 druid. The part with the drums was a blast because we stood outside of the camp and spam summoned the worms/gnomes. When it came time for the last worm, we fought it for like 8 minutes, then it glitched and died at 45% life.
As far as quests I never want to repeat, the crap with the giants by the mana crystal in hfp next to the cenarian camp sucked. Getting kicked away constantly was annoying.
Also the Makura eyes crap in Sen'Jin.

I'll second the hunter quest. My (now) 53 hunter put 98,000+ xp killing the Mosshoof Coursers (and yes, I was killing the right ones) to get TWO Perfect Courser Antlers, and of course the other mobs in the area that were in the way. At about 600xp a pop, that was a lot of dead deer. I'm surprised Defenders of Wildlife isn't on the case.
Wavethrashers only took about an hour thanks to someone who posted a screenshot on Thottbot.
