Well color me impressed. While the rest of us are talking about soloing Stratholme and UBRS, Compactd of Bloodscalp isn't bothering-- he's already turning the Outland instances into solo material. He's walked all over Blood Furnace (he says it took him 2 hours), all by his lonesome.
I'm no expert on Pally specs or gear, but if his gear currently on the Armory is any indication, he's specced holy, but geared like a DPSadin, with 674 spell damage. He's wearing a Shaman helm, strangely enough, and while I don't know if he actually carried it through BF with him, he's also running with the Six Demon Bag. Surely a spell damage trinket would be better than that, right?
But I guess you can't complain with results. Next up: Slave Pens?

Something like this calls for a video summary of some sort. I gotta see what he did. Detailed information like the guy who took on all of the SM Armory at once. That's impressive.

For those interested, a hunter named Dysphoria has already solo'd several bosses on heroic mode, including one in Slave Pens and another in Durnholde Keep.
Search Warcraftmovies.com for "hunter vs. world."

If it took him 2 hours to solo this, why does he have a 60 minute mage buff with 19 minutes left? I call BS.

Read what he said in his post on the WoW Europe forums.
" Solo'ed Ramparts a while ago, so decided to try my hand at Blood Furnace, was going well all the way up the broggok room where i couldnt kill the last wave of adds cos of not enough dps, and the fact they do massive damage and stun spam you. Died a few times here so decided was time to get buffs, took flask of distilled Wisdom and got some pots(Elixir of healing power. Adapts Elixir. Wizard Oil). "
That answer your question?

umm, because 60 minutes is less then 2 hours, and if there is 19 mins left of the buff it means he had the buff for 41 minutes. If you read the post he said he got the buffs after he had tried the second boss at least once and died, so he got the buffs then. Its not hard to believe it took him 40 minutes (solo) to get from the room where the second boss is to the last boss

Color me surprised, but he doesn't have full talent points allotted to Spiritual Focus.
Impressive solo accomplishment.

As a level 70 holy priest I tanked the last boss in Hellfire Ramparts from about 40% after our warrior dropped. His physical attacks were weak enough that I could heal myself through them with no problem, and the level disparity meant I resisted basically all of the fire damage. If I can do that in cloth, I'm not at all surprised that a paladin could do the whole instance.

No paladins aren't overpowered at all. The tank, main heal, and solo instances?
I'm lucky as a priest with over +800 dmg with LOLSMITE/Holy build to solo 3 enemies, much less an entire instance.
Horseshit I say.

You don't have 2 hours of play time?
"waaaah, i want to solo instances"
Get over yourself.
Good stuff, but it's unfortunately it's an effective case against Holy paladins, showing the likelyhood that Blizzard isn't focusing (or isn't just) on Retribution for damage nerfs. Which royally sucks.
By the way, druids have mana-free DPS, so wah wah about every other class with self-sustainability. You priests seem to forget you're in the position paladins were in before the big changes.

A couple of quick explanations. The mail thing: alot of the mail items @lvl 70 have far superior +damage and healing stats to the plate gear thats easily available - my own spelldamage gear includes the tidefury chest and the big bad wolf helm from Opera. Spelldamge paladins are pretty much forced through itemisation to use mail atm.
The Six Demons Bag thing: With high spell damage the Six Demon bag can hit regularly for 1500-2000 damage (it's affected by the users +spell damage). From what I've been told you're talking about 700-800 spelldamage and then pop Avenging Wrath (30% damage) for the best results.

To those of you who commented about the wearing of Mail Armor. Let's get real here, folks. Against certain bosses you're going to get hit and damaged whether you're wearing Plate Armor or if you're as naked as the day that you entered the Real World. In a case like that I would go with Stats over Armor every day of the week! It's not that I believe or disbelieve the Paladin. If he did it, a hearty congrats. If he didn't do it, it was a funny joke.

Taking a bunch of consumables is kind of not really soloing at all. Its like Barry Bonds hitting HRs all day long.
I would like to see the strategy for soloing an instance without any major consumables.
This kind of soloing looks pretty pricey for all the flasks he had.. not worth it...
