With everything that gets posted here on a daily basis, it's easy to lose track after posts fall off the first page. So I thought I'd throw up a reminder that we are currently looking to expand our staff with new bloggers and columnists -- and we'll be continuing to accept applications until Monday, March 26th. Think you have what it takes to join the team? Take some time to read through the job requirements and send in an application!

When you say columns are weekly or bi-weekly, which meaning of "bi-weekly" do you intend -- twice per week, or every two weeks (twice per month)?

I did apply, but I beleive I rushed the application too much. So I will re-apply with what I would see as a better application.
Thank you.

I applied as well.
Will we be informed when decisions are made either way? That we if we get our hopes up we at least get the proper let down and not the eternal wait.

Bi-weekly is every two weeks, also known as fortnightly. Semi-weekly is twice per week. Learn2English.

I currently have 95 applications in my mailbox and we're only half-way through the time period they'll be accepted. :)
Because of this volume, we really don't have time to reply to people individually saying they haven't been accepted. However, I don't want to completely leave people who aren't accepted hanging. If you haven't gotten an e-mail from someone on the WoW Insider staff after three weeks, you've probably not made the cut. But I'll also be posting something welcoming and introducing our new bloggers when they get started.
If you see that post without your name on it, then I can only wish you luck next time we're adding to our staff. (We seem to be looking for a newbies a few times a year.) We always get more great people applying than we can actually bring on board, and every time it's a tough choice.

When I wrote the original post, I intended "bi-weekly" to mean "twice a month." However, if you have a column idea that you think would work well as a twice a week column, pitch it that way and we'll consider it. (Worst case, you'll end up doing a weekly column.)

It's ambiguous. Though you are correct about "semi."

No, it's not ambiguous. "Bi" means many things, but "biweekly" means exactly one thing.
For ten cents a word, IGN's gonna get exactly what they pay for, I suspect.
