I live with 4 other roomates competing in the Arena. We didn't like our first 5 man class setup so we're in the midst of leveling 2 new characters to 70. I'm definately looking forward to leveling through the Outlands again! Collectively, we leveled our 5 guys through already and it gets 'funner' every time. The first time through Nagrand etc was an experience but knowing the quests and running through the zones and still seeing some new things is great!

I pretty much agree on that. I've got several other toons I plan on taking all the way to 70; A rogue, a hunter, a belf paladin(does anyone out there NOT have one?), and a lock, who has a long, long way to go.

I plan on questing out pretty much all of Azeroth on each of them before I hit Outland. I figure the more time I spend there, the fewer quests I'll chew up in Outland. Doing that will make putting cash together for the epic mount far easier; I don't forsee having problems getting the basic flyer on any of my characters.

I just brought my 58 Lock through the gate this week and found leveling to be no problem at all. Even the orange quests posed no threat. I think it all depends on the class you play. Any future toons I raise to 58 will be going though the portal immediately to escape the monotony of Azeroth.

I went right through at 58 on my main chracter. Never looked back at Azeroth. I was able to solo most of Hellfire and didn't have any troubles.

Those two levels went by so fast i dont even remember being 58,59 or 60 :p

I'd personally recommend going through at 58 and never going back. It was a bit difficult at first and I probably died too many times trying to do some of the [61]-[63] quests - (because the mobs are just SO much harder when at 58). The reality is - if you have a nice guild, and a good group - running through Furnace/Ramparts twice will net you not only quality rep (making your grind to the Heroric's so much easier), but also a level every 2 runs (until 60 - at which point you need 2.5x more XP than you did to get from 60 from 59).

And the items from the 'old world' are junk pretty well instantly.

I say this, and have a squish priest that is all too familiar with 'resist resist resist'. Even just grinding hellboars will net you 550xp a kill non-rested @ 58 - which is significantly more than a mob in the old world will give you. Works out to about 2 hours a level straight grinding pre-60.

Just knowing my previous experience from 58-60 was miserable, I am bringing my next lock to outland as soon as he hits 58. Lvl 58 in the old world means Winterspring, EPL, Burning Steppes, and Silithus. All those zones are fairly large zones, and the quest objectives tend to be very spread out. Out of frustration I ended up grinding furbolg rep from 58-60.

After leaving for Outland, I plan on only coming back for 2 things, my Dreadsteed and of course, training.

I like to overcome new obstacles and continue to line my trophy cabinet in a manner of speaking. Taking my warlock to 70 and then bringing my priest to 70 and NOW bringing my warrior to 70.

Outlands pre-70 is becoming just as mundane as all the newbie zones.

Killing bird, bulls and deer in Nagrand in 3 sets of quests 3 different characters over isn't my idea of "fun".

If outlands had featured a few class specific quest like what you usually get at different level intervals for the classes in Azeroth it might be a little more interesting at a second go.
