Reader Dave sends this shot our way -- a nice look at everyone's favorite dragon, Onyxia, sitting peacefully in the heart of Stormwind Keep. If you've done the quest line to attune yourself for the Onyxia raid, you're familiar with this sight, since one of the last steps of the chain involves a battle with Onyxia's minions in the keep. And occasionally the encounter bugs, leaving Onyxia hanging around far after the event is over, offering a perfect time to sit down and have a peaceful chat with the dragon.

Am I just missing the times when she turns into a full on Dragon? Every time I've done the event or seen it, she just kinda turns into a dragonkin.

Matt, I'm a n00b (playing for less than a year) but my understanding is that at some point they changed the encounter so she actually became a dragon. Whatever it was was before my time as I've never seen her dragonkin form.

My understanding is that she still becomes a dragon - just rather briefly, before buggering off and summoning a bunch of elite Dragonkin for Bolvar to beat into tiny pieces.
(Seriously - if you still have to do this quest, I recommend doing it solo. Turn up, see her turn into a dragon, stand back and watch why it's a Very Bad Idea to try to raid Stormwind. Hardcore lvl f*** pwnage from the man they call "Fordragon? Is that some kind of ... clue?")
