I don't think I'd want to be in a room with these very angry druids... On the live realms at present druids cannot use consumables in forms -- the lack of useful things like health potions and healthstones is certainly an annoyance, but after playing a druid for a while you start getting used to the trend of shifting out of feral forms whenever you need to do anything important. However, on the beta realms Blizzard dangled a carrot: for a brief period of time, "certain consumables were flagged as usable in some forms, and that has since been reversed." Drysc claims this was a bug and a mistake -- but even after his comments, countless druids insist that he is uninformed and that the change can't be a bug, pointing at recent changes to the text of Thistle Tea (restores energy) and Rage Potions (restores rage) to include druids under their class restrictions. And while I admire so many druids for believing so whole-heartedly in the power of their dreams, I wonder how much hope there is for a change after it's been confirmed as a bug.[Thanks, Atrius]

I must say it does suck not being able to pop a potion in a form... hell, make a new class of consumables for druids that would be in line with the RPers... We don't want to be as powerful as Warriors and Rogues combined, but some form of sustainability in a form would be nice...

Agreed totally... I can understand how from one standpoint you could say that cats and bears can't eat food, or drink a potion. How about something like a warlock's healthstone or mage's mana gem? A conjured item that restores x health, maybe on a 5 min cooldown or something. To remove the worries about 'OMG FREE POTION IS UNFAIR', make it require a reagent to make, maybe a battle rez seed or something...

It would make the class a heck of alot more fun, as shifting out + heal takes time and in some situations can kill a druid :P Allowing potions in forms isn't a huge step, but it helps the druid and isn't unfair to other classes.

If it really were a bug, then Blizzard would be incredibly retarded for not saying so when the patch first came out. Also, thistle tea and mighty rage potions can be used by Druids in the Beta.

I think the 41 talent for Feral druids should be to allow us to cast 1 nature spell in animal form with a 10 min cooldown. Drink in animal form would be cool because right now the amount of damage i take switching out of form to drink or heal (if i dont have bash) pretty much negates the hp I healed back.

Dr00ds need to quit crying.
You'lln never be main tanks, main healers, or main DPS, so just shut up with all your complaining and go back to second fiddle.
No one cares if you can't use a potion in one of your stupid beast forms, no one cares that you never get to tank for a raid, no one cares that you can out DPS a rogue or outheal a priest, you are a jack of all trade class, master of none and the sooner you people realize this the sooner your pain and suffering will end.
Blizzard needs to quit buffing dr00ds and go back to making Warriors main tanks, Priests main healers and Paladins completely sucking.
KTHXBAI! Dr00d FORUM ----> That Way.

I find it quite humorous that they used a moonkin picture for this story, since moonkin have always been able to pop potions, use health stones, use item effects etc.

The odd thing is that trinkets are useable. I wonder if the potion injectors could be used. I'd pick up engineering in an eyeblink.

I'm sorry, are you complaining that druids are overpowered?
I mean, I'm not sure I read that right, because thats the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard.

Mr. Toolmonkey,
You'll make more sense, and sound like less of an moron, if you actually read and respond accordingly to the topic rather than simply flaming.
