WoW Moviewatch: Hogger Goes to Gurubashi
I can't say I understand this game's fascination with the low-level elite in Elwynn Forest -- Hogger. Sure, he's a pain to kill when you're running through the area in a level-appropriate fashion, but I've seen everything, all the way up to a 40-player raid being organized to take him down. And, in this video, we have Hogger being taken on the long walk from his Elwynn home to the Gurubashi Arena in Stranglethorn Vale. (How do you kite him that far without killing him, anyway?)

i don't think he'd come with you 'cause you'd have to zone out and in again so he'd get lost when that happened.

The 2 guys where level 60. To prevent killing the poor bastard: Mind Control him, heal him.
Other method: sheep him, he will regenerate.
The mind control trick also works on horde players playing tourist in Ironforge. We have had our horde visiting ironforge without being killed quite often due to the mind control trick.

One way to kite a melee mob anywhere is to have an Affliction warlock keep casting Curse of Exhaustion on him. It doesn't do any damage, so the mob doesn't need to be healed. It slows the mob down, so you don't get hit and thus you don't need healing. Finally, it can be cast while running and it refreshes aggro. So as long as you don't run into players who kill you or your mob, you can take the mob anywhere.

I DO understand the fascination with Hogger: for most people it's the first encounter with something a bit stronger - just when you feel you're a tough cookie yourself.
