Josh (who raids with his wife on Dragonmaw-- "Horde, obviously," he says) sent along pictures of the sweet tattoos the two of them got to commemorate their adventures in Azeroth. If you're going to get a tattoo to commemorate your time in WoW, I can't think of anything that would look cooler. These look awesome! And Horde FTW!
That's his wife above. I have to say, Josh, I like hers better. Josh's tattoo-- don't get me wrong, it's also extremely cool-- is after the jump. Think of the rep they had to grind for those! Breakerofwnd... your sarcasm is misplaced here. These tattoos are a symbol, to indelibly commemorate an important phase in our lives together. Belittle it all you want, but this 'game' has been a huge part of the things we did together for over a year... starting after we got engaged, through our wedding (it was hard to take a month off :)
Meh... I don't have to justify myself to you. Suffice it to say, WoW is more than just a game to us. If you don't feel that way, that's fine.

Sorry, I don't mean to belittle your act. If the game has been a bond to both of you, that is awesome. And I do mean that sincerely.
It was more a comment on my view of all tat's. Something that in 5, 10, 15 years won't be your primary focus and yet you will be forever reminded of it (which for your purpose is a great thing as you both remember fondly). I for one would not want to live with the questions. "What is that?" "For what game?" I mean, imagine if Pong was a bonding experience for someone or worse, Zork. . . (Great game by the way, just wouldn't want, You are standing in front of a white house. . . on my back. . .)
Sorry, I can't hid my cynisim in this one. I'm glad it's something you can do together, I envy that, my wife won't touch the game, but tatoos of something so fleeting is not for me.

A tattoo represents something, it doesn't have to be something that you still do or like, Breaker. It symobolizes a time in your life with such deep meaning that you decide is so important that you want to remember it always. I've been explaining the meaning of mine for 12 years now (just did it yesterday, in fact) and it never bothers me. I get to remember the time and thing that it symbolizes and that's what I fricking got it for in the first place.
Awesome tats, guys, if I could talk my husband into getting a tattoo of *anything* I would be happy to have a symbol from this game which we, like you, have spent many, many wonderful hours playing together.
Hey Trema, our GM's biggest fear is that the expansion is going to come out the week of her wedding and that her husband is going to want to buy a laptop for their honeymoon! So, at least your month off was at an opportune time! ;-)

I'm a tattoo Artist in the upstate NY area, and I also play WoW. I'ld like to add thats it is a great idea. It is something to make you remember the days of WoW when Blizzard puts out something new. Also let me add, as a tattoo artist I have seen some pretty outlandish things people have adorned their bodies with and this is nothing near what breakerofwnd makes it out to be. People get tattoos representing periods of their life, something to tell your kids and grandkids about, when they ask.. Whats That?
