It's old news that we'll be seeing cross-realm battlegrounds in the next patch, however, Blizzard has recently let us in on additional information regarding how the system works. After 1.12, when you enter a battleground queue, you won't be entering a queue with players from every realm - simply from a select few. Each realm is part of a "battlegroup" consisting of five to twenty realms, and you will only compete with other players within your realm's battlegroup. There's already speculation on which battlegroup will contain the toughest competition, so place your bets now...!

I think it's interesting how some of these are grouped... most of the RP-PvP servers on the same group, but the standard RP servers mixed with PvE and PvPs, things like that.
I still think it's a weak excuse to prevent PvE-to-PvP transfers, then roll out a cross-realm BG system that pits PvEers against PvPers. If gear's easier to get on a PvE server, won't they now dominate the cross-realm BGs?

Honest;y I think it would be really cool to have server vs. server battles, Alliance & Horde from one server combine to battle another server... doesn't role well with the story lines, but I'm sure they could come up with some interdimentional "evil twins" kinda story

It's an interesting idea, but some servers just got screwed over.
Take Blackwing Lair, a PvP realm that has been up for less than 3 weeks. They are going to be pitted against other new realms, but then there are at least 2 others, that have been up since/close to launch date. Somehow the realm progression and the gear possibilities just dont even out imo

Spinebreaker horde are tough sob in BG i have an alliance char and almost every BG weve been in we've lost miserably look out for A rogue named Multo hes rumored to have 1357 hp at lvl 19 looks like he uses a assasins blade w/ lifesteal and cruel barb w/firey hate to be in the BG hes in hes killed 4 toons before he was taken down dangerous foe....
